Have you caught yourself not taking action in certain situations? Because there is this fear of failure which is holding you back. And because of that fear, you end up procrastinating. I’ll do it later. I don’t think this is the right moment. I don’t think I’m yet ready to put this into action. And that’s how days pass, weeks pass, months pass, and you end up not doing that. This is very natural. This is very human.
Why?
Because our brain wants to avoid pain. The pain that we might experience out of failure. We don’t want to experience failure. We want to experience success. We want to experience pleasure.
Our brain wants to move towards pleasure and run away from pain. The pain of failure. How can we overcome this fear of failure? And how can we become an action taker?
Number 1, Validate your fear and ask yourself, What am I fearful about?
Number 2, What can go wrong here?
Number 3, how can I avoid those possibilities?
And Number 4, in case something goes wrong, how will I be able to fix it?
If you start focusing on these four questions, and you start analyze and evaluate that particular situation, you will be able to overcome your fear & take action despite of your fear. Try this out.
